Cosmetic Eye Surgery
By Dave Kettner

Cosmetic includes any type of cosmetic surgery (plastic surgery) done to the eyelids or other areas of the face surrounding the eyes that improves the look of a patient. Cosmetic can be used to correct drooping upper eyelids and / or puffy under eye bags, as well as other features that tend to make people look older than they are.

cosmetic differs from other types of facial cosmetic surgery

Cosmetic is used to decrease bagginess of eyelids or the areas just below the eyes, but is not used to lift the eyebrows, can do nothing for under eye circles and will not remove crow’s feet or other wrinkles around the eyes.

Cosmetic can be used in conjunction with other types of plastic surgery to effect certain features as mentioned above, but it will never erase signs of your natural racial or ethnic heritage.

Some types of cosmetic surgery often combined with cosmetic include facelifts and browlifts. Combination cosmetic and facelift procedures can have very dramatic effects and increase the appearance of youthfulness much more than either type of procedure alone.

The eyes are the main focal point of your face. For this reason, many people opt for cosmetic before attempting other types of cosmetic surgery to reduce the appearance of aging features. This is also the reason why cosmetic is often added to traditional facelift or browlift cosmetic surgery procedures –to get the full effect of youthfulness, as it were.

Before you commit to cosmetic eye surgery, be sure to discuss your motivation as well as your expectations. While cosmetic can boost confidence and enhance your appearance, it is certainly not a wonder fix that will change the way people treat you.
